Thing was, I soon noticed that actually my supposed thrifty finds were getting hardly any page views, and in fact people seemed to be far more interested in my rants and ravings. That got me writing, properly writing for the first time in years and I soon realised that writing is where it's at, man.
So having discovered that I was actually fairly decent at doing something I actually enjoyed, the next obvious thing was to translate that into a career move; professional blogging.
I've been very lucky, incredibly lucky. I have actually gone and bagged myself a "proper" blogging job working for an absolutely fabulous website called Twinkl. Twinkl is a primary resources website with amazing activities for children. I'm really proud to be associated with a website like that and can honestly say that I wholeheartedly love the resources and use them with my son and in my day job too.

Your rants and raves are my favourite bits of the blog! I have noticed on mine how the more personal posts seem to get the most hits.
ReplyDeleteHi Emma and thanks. Yes it's a fine line between revealing too much info and keeping people interested, there is lots of really personal stuff I could write about but not sure I want to reveal that much.x
DeleteCongratulations on your new blog work - I will be over to visit you there.
